There are only two options to travel to Isla Holbox, the 15-minute ferry from Chiquila or fly to Holbox. If you’ve rented a car in Cancun sadly you can’t drive to Holbox Mexico BUT you can drive right to the town of Chiquila and hop on the Isla Holbox ferry from there. Don’t let the ferry intimidate you, getting to Holbox is flawless.
